The founder of Apple, Steve Jobs, was one of the great visionaries of the 21st century. His ideas for a smartphone were a clear representation of innovation personified. Even though he is no longer with us, Apple is still the biggest shark in the tech world and a leader in the smartphone industry.
Apple has a huge fan base, and that leads so many people towards buying the latest iPhone without giving it a major in terms of why they should be spending a fortune on a smartphone. It is a huge deal for some people to be the first ones to get their hands on the latest iPhone in the market.
There is no doubt that the iPhone has changed the way people interact with each other and with technology. But we are here to tell you why you shouldn’t be buying the latest iPhone because we don’t want you spending money on something that might not offer the value you’re looking for.
Biggest tech event of the century – EVERY YEAR?
Ok, so Apple hosts their event every year where they announce their latest products along with the latest iPhone just like they did this year in 2019 and in the years before that. Apple is moving at a rapid pace in the field of development and innovation which might have a negative impact. By the time you learn to use the new iPhone, Apple launches another one. If you are an iPhone fanatic, you know that the cycle with be repeating every year.
A big hit to your wallet
Let’s assume you bought the new iPhone, congratulations to you. Surely, you’re happy with the performance, looks, and all its other perks. Just one question, how does it feel about spending so much on a smartphone? We have nothing against Apple, we just want to make sure that you have thought this through.
Apple is like a monster that generates billions of profits from its consumers every year. The customer feeds the monster by buying the latest iPhone every year. According to a study, it was reported that the majority of the Americans are living their lives paycheck to paycheck and yet have the latest iPhone in their hands. So, if people are unable to pay, how can they have a shiny new thing in their hand? This is called consumer brainwash.
Did it change anything?
Ok, so you waited for months to by the latest iPhone. The day has finally come. You waited outside the Apple store for hours, paid for it, bought the wireless charger, texted your friends, posted on social media, letting the world know that you are the first one to get their hands on the new iPhone. And then what?
Recently the iPhone has lost its level of innovation and creativity that was once its USP. Even though they haven’t stopped charging handsomely for these smartphones, they are unable to provide the value to their customers. Every year they are coming up with the same UI with minor tweaks presenting that as something, you’ve never seen before. The worst part of this, people buy that nonsense.
Are you really protected from iPhone?
The iPhone X introduced facial recognition into the smartphone domain, and it was supposed to be more secure, wasn’t it? It was presumably more secure than manual password entry and fingerprint ID. Now we are not saying this isn’t secure. On the contrary, it can be something to look for, in the future. But recently, hackers have been able to bypass this security protocol, which is an alarm situation for Apple.
Do you even realize how big of a threat it can be for you if someone tries to teal your face ID and crack-in? This puts a major question mark for Apple and simultaneously on the integrity of the company that was supposed to be the most secure of all.
Is it truly innovate or just hoax?
When Apple unveils its new iPhone, it creates a wave of people who are mind blown by design, just like when iPhone X showed a screen that went all the way to the edges. The OLED screen was also a major USP for them. Apple’s iPhone also went out of their tradition and removed their signature home button, but we all know it wasn’t something new in the world of smartphones.
Samsung 6S edge released the OLED feature in 2015, and since then, they have done this in every phone they released after that. They intended to make sure that buyers have more space on the screen and make them the innovator that inspired the design for iPhone X and iPhone XI.
All in all, we want you to get your money’s worth. There is no denying that Apple has the resources to create and innovate, but that doesn’t mean they are. You must pay close attention to what you are investing in and whether you can keep this going every year, maybe for the rest of your life.
